Dazzlers are made of thin gold foil and glued onto the tooth. Due to the different shapes, e.g. animal motifs or similar, there is the right motif for every taste.
Skyces dental jewelry
These shiny gemstones are the special something for your teeth. They are made of high-quality crystal glass, e.g. Swarovski, or diamonds. The mirrored back brings out beautiful light reflections. Skyces have no metal surround and can have a diameter of 1.8 mm to 2.6 mm. Skyces are permanently bonded to the tooth surface.
Twinkles tooth jewelry
Twinkles, together with skyces, are the most popular types of dental jewelry. You can have these thin semi-reliefs permanently attached to your teeth in the form of stars, hearts or animals. They are made of gold or white gold and may also have a brilliant cut diamond.

What is the procedure for dental jewelry treatment in Munich?
We divide the treatment into 2 appointments.
The first appointment is a consultation to evaluate the suitability of the teeth for jewelry. Depending on the current condition of the teeth, it may require a professional teeth cleaning before use. On this basis, the size and motif of the stone will be chosen with you. If all conditions fit, an appointment is set for the actual treatment.
The attachment of the dental jewelry
In the 2nd appointment, the focus is then on the luting. With the fasteners that we also use in prosthetics, we can attach all materials to your tooth without anesthesia. The dental jewelry is bonded to the tooth using the acid etching technique and a light-curing resin. This is done without causing permanent damage to the teeth and is completely painless!
The hardening takes place with a special UV lamp. After about 15 minutes of treatment, you can already admire your piece of jewelry.
Can there be complications with the treatment?
There are no major complications with the application of dental jewelry. Before we apply the jewelry, the desired tooth is examined in the first appointment and it is checked whether it is possible. If everything fits, we start the treatment.
Complications can only arise during wearing if the attached jewelry falls off the tooth and is swallowed. Therefore, it is important to have the attachment performed by an expert who will pretreat the tooth accordingly.
Due to the irregular surface on the tooth, there is a risk of additional plague on the jewelry. Therefore, it is particularly important to take good care of the teeth at this point.
Dental jewelry care
In order to achieve an optimal result, we recommend our patients to have dental jewelry inserted only after professional teeth cleaning and/or teeth whitening.
The daily care of the jewelry is sufficient with a normal mouth cleaning. Due to the newly created irregular surface, you should brush more carefully around the dental jewelry to prevent the formation of bacterial plaque that could cause caries. Therefore, in addition to careful oral hygiene and cleaning of the dental jewelry, we recommend a regular checkup at a PZR.
